Nasdaq 100 set for further volatility this week

Yesterday the Nasdaq 100 fell to its lowest level of the year, when it dumped to 18,799. The index had closed last Friday at 19,281 and reopened yesterday afternoon at 18,998. All of that was reported here when live trading resumed. The recovery from the low later in the session saw it lift to 19,316, but somehow it avoided a higher close on the day. Perhaps had it done so, then technically that would have generated a strong buy signal. The index laster closed just 2.95 points lower, at 19,278. Since that US monthly close the Nasdaq 100 futures have been all over the place and the extreme price action seen yesterday may be replicated again today, given the prospects that lie immediately ahead. So, right now the index is priced to open lower later on, despite the European stock market just now kicking off the new month in the green. The Nasdaq 100 is righter now priced to reopen later on at around 19,260
