Nasdaq 100 rebound continues modestly so far today

On Friday all three major US stock markets indexes closed modestly higher and it was once again the tech sector and the Nasdaq 100 that led the way. The index gained 0.53%, compared to a rise of 0.47% for the S+P 500 and just 0.13% for the Dow Jones. All these indexes ignored a sustained rebound in US yields, but in truth this was all about a further recovery from the lows seen on Monday and little to do with that. The Asian markets (Ex- Japan) are mostly in the green today and so far there has been no geopolitical news of any note to cause any kind of risk-off wobble. So, the Nasdaq 100 futures are slightly higher this morning, currently pricing the opening for later today, at around 18,550, where the index closed on Friday at 18,513.
