Nasdaq 100 pushing higher in earlier trade as month end looms earlier than usual today

The US stock markets have not long reopened for the final session of the week and the month. All three major indexes officially opened higher this afternoon, but there has been some pretty sporadic and indeterminate price action in early trading. Right now it seems all are trying to forge out some kind of direction into the month-end, remembering too; that it is a curtailed session today. All three major index will close earlier than usual, at 6pm GMT. Under the current circumstances it would be foolish to try and predict where they might all close today too. The Nasdaq 100 is faring a little better right now tough. The index had underperformed markedly earlier in the week and last closed on Wednesday evening at 20,744. It reopened today at 20,771 and has reached a high so far, right now at 20,831
