Nasdaq 100 outshines with a daily close above 16k

The US stock markets all closed modestly higher yesterday. In truth the higher closes were not very impressive, given the fall in US yields and the dollar. I, for one would have expected more traction, but we have to remember where we are in the calendar in terms of the month end. What I can say, with a high degree of certainty; had those yields and the dollar not fallen, I would be commenting today on falls instead of modest gains. So, the Nasdaq 100 was the best performing major index, as it set a close above 16k, ending the US session 0.30% higher, at 16,010. The Nasdaq 100 futures are slightly higher this morning,  currently indicating a reopening at around 16,020 later today
