Nasdaq 100 outperforms again

The contrast between the Dow Jones and the Nasdaq 100 was clear for all to see yesterday. Despite rising above 43k yesterday, the Dow was unable to hold that early session gain and it fell back to later close 25 points lower, at 42,706. There will be more to add on that later today. Meantime, the Nasdaq 100 led the US markets into the close last night, despite dropping back from a session high at 21,703. Nevertheless, the Nasdaq 100 still closed 233 points higher, at 21,559. The higher close was led by standout gains in Micron Technology (+10.45%) and ASML (+7.58%). The high point seen yesterday took the index back closer to the record highs seen late last year, at 22,133. The Nasdaq 100 futures are slightly in the red right now, but not by very much at all. The comments from the NVIDIA boss today are seemingly going to keep this index generally on the front foot, when the market reopens this afternoon
