Nasdaq 100 limps to a slightly positive close-futures lower this morning

The US equity markets managed to close slightly higher last night, but only just. The gains were certainly nothing to write home about, but nevertheless that is what we will do here. In percentage terms the Dow Jones was the best performer, with a modest 0.25% rise. The S+P 500 managed 0.16% and the Nasdaq 100 just 0.04%. As expected, it was a jittery session and as noted, the release of the Fed minutes offered little for the bulls to get their teeth into. This morning the Asian markets are mostly in the red and that has not provided any of the US futures with much in the way of support. Consequently, all are slightly in the red this morning. The Nasdaq 100 closed last night at 21,180, with a gain of just 7.92 points on the day. It is right now priced to reopen around 21,140
