Nasdaq 100 leads US stocks to a record monthly close

The three major US stock markets all  reversed earlier session losses after the European close and forged higher into the month end. The Nasdaq 100 was the best performer, as it rose from a session low at 17,866 to a high at 18,068. The index later closed at 18,043, with a gain of 169 points on the day. That was of course a record monthly close for the Nasdaq 100. The Asian markets are mostly in the green this morning and that has helped the Nasdaq 100 futures to advance further. The Nasdaq 100 futures are right now very close to pricing a reopening for later today at above 18,100.
