Nasdaq 100 leads US stocks markets to a set of lower closes
Yesterday all the major US stock markets closed in the red. The losses in the Dow Jones were very modest and it was the Nasdaq 100 that bore the brunt of those. The index was led lower by ASML, AMD and NVIDIA. The Nasdaq 100 lost 220 points on the day, when closing at 17,493, with a loss of 1.24% on the session. That compared to just a 0.12% loss for the Dow Jones, with the absence of many tech companies in that index. Overnight the Asian markets have all bounced and are all in positive territory. That has helped the US futures and helped the Nasdaq 100 too. The index is right now priced to reopen at around 17,585
