Nasdaq 100 leads US opening losses as ISM awaits

The US stock markets have just opened and it has been an across the board lower start to the new week. Naturally, with London closed today there has been an absence of noise, but we have nevertheless had some decent moves, especially in the DAX and Gold and the USD/JPY, which has fallen further since the previous update, noting it taking out the low seen on Friday, at 143.73. So, as expected and priced-in all morning, the US equity markets have just kicked off on the back foot. The Nasdaq 100 is leading those opening losses, with a number of the top tech names driving that. The index closed on Friday at 20,102. It has just reopened at 19,928. Understandably, wherever it trades in the next 30 minutes might not matter much, if there is a surprise or two in that ISM service sector data, due out at 2pm GMT. The Nasdaq 100 is right now at 19,920
