Nasdaq 100 leads from the start to the finish-futures lower this morning

As noted here on the US opening yesterday afternoon, the rotation in favour of the tech sector characterised early trading. Well, it stayed that way until the close because the Nasdaq 100 was by some margin the best performing major US index on the day. The Nasdaq reopened at 19,902 and rose too as high as 20,132. It closed yesterday at 20,107, with a gain of 307 points on the session. That 1.55% rise compared to 0.97% for the S+P 500 and just 0.30% for the Dow Jones. Overnight we have seen a rather mixed Asian session, with gains in Japan and Hong Kong eclipsed by greater percentage looses across mainland China. That has weighed on the US opening outlook for the time being. Hence, all three major US futures are slightly in the red ahead of the European opening. The Nasdaq 100 is just now priced to reopen later at around 20,045
