Nasdaq 100 leads with a close above 19k as US stocks do not look back

The US stock markets continued to forge higher yesterday buoyed by the weaker than expected US PPI data. So, all the major indexes held their gains into the close and that was led by a 2.5% rise for the Nasdaq 100. The index rose above 19k, reaching 19,013, before later closing 464 points higher, at 19,006. The Dow Jones put on 1.04% and the S+P 500 gained 1.68%, but more on those later. So, the tech sector and the Nasdaq was the star of the show, as it filled the noted price gap (at 18,667) and so much more. The Asian markets are rather mixed today and that might have caused the Nasdaq 100 futures to stall somewhat right now and consolidate the gains seen yesterday. The index is currently priced to reopen not much removed from where it closed last night
