Nasdaq 100 jumps above 21k on the opening as ISM awaits

The US stock markets have just reopened and it has been an across the board positive start to the new month. The Nasdaq 100 is the standout overachiever on the opening and that has seen the index do something it could not all last week and lift above the 21k handle. The index reopened today at 20,971 and has moved smartly to as high as 21,075 so far. There is clear rotation in its favour on the opening too, as it leads the Dow Jones which has fallen back into the red since the opening. So, shortly at 3pm GMT we get the release of that important ISM manufacturing index. This could have an impact across all these US stock markets, but for now it is the Nasdaq 100 that is in the front seat, currently trading at 21,057
