Nasdaq 100 holds onto 20k on the opening but will it last?
The Nasdaq 100 has just reopened for live trading. As mentioned here much earlier today it was a very negative close for the index yesterday, when it set a daily close below the 200 day moving average for the first time since March 13, 2023 and also fell into correction territory. The Nasdaq 100 closed last night at 20,052 after hitting a low at 19,968. It has just this minute reopened at 20,015. Much earlier today the index was priced to reopen around 20,225. The risks would seem to reside on the downside, but trading will be choppy and volatile once again for sure. The Nasdaq 100 is currently trading at 20,026
