Nasdaq 100 goes from hero to zero

As noted a couple of updates ago, the Nasdaq 100 was the worst performing major US stock market index yesterday. However, that is after it was earlier the best of the bunch. The Nasdaq 100 opened higher yesterday, at 18,345 and immediately lifted to a high at 18,445. That opening gain was covered here at the time, but as you can see, it did not last and the index spent the rest of the session handing back those gains and more. The Nasdaq 100 fell back to a low at 17,851 and that low was right on the closing bell too. The index actually closed 210 points lower, at 17,867. The price action across the Nasdaq 100 futures today has been pretty volatile again so far. The index future had been pricing the opening to as low as 17,650, but since the Nikkei 225 rebounded again that opening call was pushed up, to around 17,975, but it is off that high now, currently indicating an opening pretty much where it left off last night, at around 17,870
