Nasdaq 100 futures taking the lead on the downside this morning

The Nasdaq 100 last closed on Thursday at 18,258. That close was virtually unchanged on the day and down from the earlier session high, at 18,401. The index will reopen later today and right now it is not going to open higher. In fact it is going to open markedly lower, unless the futures rebound significantly over the next few hours. The index future is now taking a lead across the US markets in terms of that lower opening call. There are no major tech Q1 earnings reports to dive the index later today, but just after the close tomorrow we get the first major tech company to report and that is Tesla (TSLA). There will be more to add on that tomorrow. The Nasdaq 100 is right now priced to reopen around 18,060
