Nasdaq 100 futures take a hit as Tesla drops in the premarket
The latest delivery numbers from the US auto maker and tech stock, Tesla have just been released and they have missed on expectations. That news has sent the price of Tesla (TSLA) lower in the premarket. The stock is immediately lower by around 3% and that has rather dented the opening outlook for the Nasdaq. The index was earlier priced to reopen around 21,275. It is now priced to reopen around 21,150. The reader is reminded that the index closed last at 21,012 on New Years Eve, so it is still set for a higher opening, but clearly not as high as expected before these delivery numbers from Tesla hit the screens
