Nasdaq 100 futures still holding gains but off best levels of the morning

Yesterday the Nasdaq 100 was the best performing major US stock market index and despite losses in the Dow Jones, the Nasdaq 100 ended the day with a modest gain. The index closed higher by 38 points (+0.21%), ending the session at 18,160. Earlier this morning the rebound across all the US futures saw the index indicated to reopen above 18,275. It has pared back on those gains just now, but a higher opening is still in the cards for this afternoon. Ahead of that opening we have some US Challenger Job lay-off data due shortly, at 12.30pm GMT. Following that, at 1.30pm we get the latest weekly jobless claims numbers. Then later today we more Fed speakers, any of whom might have an impact on the price action ( Harker, Barkin and Goolsbee). The Nasdaq 100 future is currently pricing the reopening at around 18,250
