Nasdaq 100 futures slightly in the red this morning

Yesterday the Nasdaq 100 closed higher, rising by 70 points, to end the session at 18,280, but of course it broke no new ground with that close and it remains shy of the current all time high, at 18,464. The high seen ahead of the close yesterday was set at 18,344 after it had reopened at 18,338. The outlook for the opening today is slightly negative right now and we do have a number of US economic releases due this afternoon- the usual weekly claims, final Q4 GDP reading, Chicago PMI and University of Michigan consumer sentiment index. Any, or all of those might have an impact on the index later on, but of course the markets are much more fixed on the US PCE data due out tomorrow at 12.30pm GMT. The Nasdaq 100 futures are currently pricing a reopening at around 18,265
