Nasdaq 100 futures only modestly higher following weekly close above 15k
On Friday the Nasdaq 100 was the best performing major US stock market index. The Nasdaq 100 closed higher by 1.21%. That compared to a gain for the Dow Jones 0.66% and 0.94% for the S+P 500. The Nasdaq closed 180 points higher at 15,099, but prior to that it had traded as high as 15,146. This morning, the Nasdaq 100 futures are yet to indicate a reopening above that high, but remain positive so far this morning. The index was buoyed on Friday by the drop in US yields and those yields are edging higher just now this morning. However, and so far that has yet to weigh on the Nasdaq futures, but if the yields rise further then it is something to bear in mind as the morning unfolds. The Nasdaq 100 futures are currently pricing a reopening at around 15,110
