Yesterday the Nasdaq 100 was the laggard amongst the major US stock market indexes in terms of records. That did not stop it from posting a higher close though and in percentage terms it was actually the best performer on the day. The index closed 1.15% higher, at 18,240. The high on the session was set at 18,249, but that high was some way short of the current all time high, at 18,416. However, since the close the Nasdaq 100 futures have gained further and right now the index is priced to open at record levels and potentially set a new record high later today, above 18,416 on the opening.
