Nasdaq 100 futures a little higher as Hong Kong leads Asian gains

Yesterday there was no rebound for the Nasdaq 100. The tech index led the US stock market losses from the start of the day until the close. The Nasdaq 100 closed 328 points lower, at 17,897 and it was highlighted by losses in Tesla and Apple, both of which could not recover at all by the close. Even the sizeable fall in US treasury yields did not help the index and it remains to be seen if Jerome Powell, talking later today in front of US politicians, might yet deliver that. In the meantime, the recovery in Asian stocks today, led by a near 2% rebound in Hong Kong, has helped to push the Nasdaq 100 futures a little higher. The index is currently priced to reopen at around 17,955
