The gains across the US equity futures are quite evenly balanced right now. The Nasdaq 100 is still just about leading the gains and just now on the rise a bit more than was the case a little earlier. The index closed lower last night, but it was not the worst performer. That mantle belonged to the Dow Jones, as noted here earlier. Nevertheless, the Nasdaq still handed back 0.88% by the close. The index closed 176 points lower, at 19,791, after earlier finding a base at 19,659. Since then the futures price has been buoyed by the news; that the US is to meet with Chinese counterparts in Switzerland over the weekend. The index was earlier priced to reopen as high as 20,045 after that news hit the wires at the start of the Asian session. It is currently priced to reopen around 19,925
