The Nasdaq 100 was the weakest of the three major US stock markets and it barely registered a higher close on Friday. The index ended the day just 18 points higher, at 19,508 and that close was down from an earlier session high at 19,561, but some way above the earlier session low, at 19,376. Well, just a moment ago the Nasdaq 100 futures took a hit to set a fresh session low and that move came as the Nikkei 225 futures turned red again, giving back an earlier post session closing rebound. That said the price action across the Nasdaq 100 futures is pretty rapid just now and hard to pin down within a few points. It looks rather nervous just now too and there is a degree of trepidation out there it seems, not least because these markets are quite thinly populated at the moment and that is normal at this time of year, with so many big hitters on the beach. The Nasdaq 100 is currently priced to reopen at around 19,450
