On Friday the Nasdaq 100 was the only major index to end the week on a positive note. As suspected and conveyed here right on the opening, rotation into tech again lasted all the way to the weekly close. The Nasdaq 100 ended the day 119 points higher, at 20,352, but it had lifted as high as 20,552 and so not far below the current all time high, at 20,690. So, this week sees 5 of the Mag 7 tech names reporting Q3 earnings. They are as follows- Alphabet (GOOGL) tomorrow at 8pm GMT. On Wednesday evening we get results from Meta (META), at 8.05pm GMT and Microsoft (MSFT) at 8.10pm GMT. On Thursday it is the turn of Amazon (AMZN) at 8pm GMT and Apple (AAPL) at 8.30pm GMT. Of course there are many other companies reporting this week too and those names mentioned are not all just Nasdaq 100 stocks, as the likes of Apple and Microsoft are also quoted on the Dow Jones for example. More detail will be provided in due course, on what is expected from these firms. Meantime, the clocks have changed here in Europe, but not yet in the US, so the Nasdaq 100 will be opening one hour earlier than usual, at 1.30pm GMT. The Nasdaq 100 futures are right now pricing that opening higher, at around 20,480 and clearly getting a boost from the gains across the Asian markets today
