Nasdaq 100 futures higher after another lower close

Yesterday the Nasdaq 100 fell back to a low at 19,575, from an earlier high at 19,947. That lower daily close marked an extension to the seismic drop seen the day before. The index did rebound somewhat in late session trading, but still closed 94 points lower, at 19,705. The Q2 earnings results from Netflix after the closing bell did not exactly knock it out of the park either. Netflix did beat on EPS, but revenue only just surpassed forecasts- $9.56 billion versus expected $9.53 billion. The low seen in the Nasdaq 100 yesterday took the index a step closer to its 50 day moving average and it has not been below that since May 6 and it has defined the upside trend since back then. That is still rising and in place this morning at 19,292. Overnight the Nasdaq futures have lifted somewhat and right now the index is priced to reopen at around 19,770
