Nasdaq 100 futures eyeing a possible record opening today

Last week it was the Nasdaq 100 that outgunned all the other major US stock markets. The index closed 184 points higher on Friday, at 18,808, down from its earlier session high, at 18,851 and below the new record high it set the day before, when it reached 18,907. Well, right now the index future is pricing the reopening today at above that high. That might change over the next few hours, but as things stand right now the Nasdaq 100 looks set to break new ground later on. If that happens, then surely the usual tech named suspects will be at the forefront of any new records set later on. The Nasdaq 100 is just now priced to reopen at around 18,900
