Nasdaq 100 futures eye record opening above 20k today

The US stock markets were of course closed for live trading yesterday owing to the US holiday. The index last closed on Tuesday evening at 19,908.86. The futures price was on the rise yesterday though and has been extended since then and despite the generally negative Asian session today, excluding the Nikkei 225, which has now edged back into the green. The current indication for the US opening suggests the Nasdaq 100 will reopen above 20k for the first time ever. Now that might change over the coming hours, before live trading resumes, but it is worth noting the current all time record for the index is at 19,977. The Nasdaq 100 is right now priced to reopen at around 20,040
