Nasdaq 100 extends early move lower

The Nasdaq 100 did reopen lower this afternoon, commencing live trade at 15,425 following a close last night at 15,473. The index has not managed to bounce much yet either. In fact, it has all been to the downside in terms of price action so far. The index has just now set a session low at 15,328. The move lower in Apple (AAPL) shares is one pointer on this, but the move lower is more widespread than that. The better than expected US data released earlier and some evidence of rising prices once again has helped to push US yields a little higher again. That is weighing on the index which is just now trading at 15,336 as the latest University of Michigan consumer sentiment index will soon hit the screens, at 2pm GMT
