Yesterday the Nasdaq 100 was the standout performer again amongst the major US stock market indexes. The Nasdaq set a record close at 21,101 after rising to a new all time intraday record high, at 21,132. That 1.54% gain on the day helped to lift the S+P 500 to fresh records too, but it came at the slight expense of the Dow Jones, which did not manage to close higher last night. In terms of the component gains across the Nasdaq, it was pretty broad-based too. The Nasdaq 100 futures are a little higher this morning and not yet showing any signs that the index might bow to profit-taking ahead of the weekend, but of course the higher the index goes, the more chance of that will be at some stage. However, for now it seems there is little let up in the appetite for tech stocks, as the Trump trade marches on. The Nasdaq 100 is currently priced to reopen around 21,130
