Nasdaq 100 currently set to open higher today with Netflix in the spotlight this evening

The first day of the new Trump Presidency was greeted with decent agains across all the major US stock futures and one where the Nasdaq 100 and the tech sector led from the front. Of course the US stock markets were not open yesterday, but on Friday the Nasdaq 100 closed 1.66% to the better, with the S+P 500 gaining exactly 1% and the Dow Jones brought up the rear, with a 0.78% higher close. The Nasdaq 100 gained 349 points, when closing at 21,441. However, overnight all three index futures got smashed lower following the comments from Trump regarding trade tariffs on Canada and Mexico. That saw the Nasdaq 100 price the opening for today at below 20,225 earlier. However, since then the futures have recovered and are right now pricing that opening around 21,550. Later this evening, at 9pm GMT we get first big tech company reporting and that is Netflix. The markets are expecting solid numbers from the second division tech outfit.
