Nasdaq 100 closed today- Futures mostly unchanged ahead of the European opening

The US stock markets will be closed later today, for the Martin Luther King Remembrance Day. However, the US futures are still trading this morning. The Nasdaq 100 was the best performing major US index on Friday. The Nasdaq gained 349 points, closing 1.66% higher, at 21,441. That gain compared to a 1% higher close for the S+P 500 and 0.78% for the Dow Jones. The Nasdaq 100 was helped higher by standout gain of more than 9% in shares of Intel. However, the likes of NVIDIA and Tesla were also in the mix of the best performing stocks on the day. The Nasdaq 100 futures are not much changed right now in terms of the opening outlook for tomorrow. In regard to tech based Q4 earnings later this week, Netflix is the one name of note, due out at 9pm GMT tomorrow. The index is just now priced to reopen tomorrow around 21,455
