Yesterday the Nasdaq 100 set an opening record at 20,661, but that was pretty much the best level of the day. The index then fell from a high at 20,672. The rotation out of tech was noted here right from the start of the session. The index then eventually crumbled to a low at 20,165, at that point handing back more than 500 points from where it had closed on Wednesday. The index later closed at 20,211, with a loss of 464 points on the day. The losses were led by a slide in Tesla (TSLA), which snapped an eight day winning streak and handed back more than 8.4% on the day. NVDA also suffered a 5.57% loss. The losses in the Nasdaq 100 also sent the S+P 500 lower too, but the Dow Jones managed to avoid a loss at all- more on those in updates to follow. The losses in the Nasdaq 100 have helped the Nikkei 225 reverse sharply overnight and consequently there has been no rebound in the Nasdaq 100 futures today. The index is currently priced to reopen later at around 20,200
