Much for the dollar to contend with over the next 2 weeks- EUR/USD sets weekly close below 1.08

The EUR/USD fell back steadily into the US close on Friday. Earlier in the session it had risen to a high at 1.0839, but the push higher in US yields helped to undermine that move and send the Euro down to a low at 1.0793 in late US trade. The EUR/USD closed for the week at 1.0796. The jump in the USD/JPY today has added pressure on the Euro and seen it fall back slightly, but at the same time the EUR/USD has surely been supported by a corresponding gain in the EUR/JPY so far this morning. So, the range in the EUR/USD has been been tight again and covered by 1.0782 to 1.0807. It is currently trading at 1.0793. This week and next sees a number of key data events which could have an impact and decide where the Euro ends the week on Friday. More detail on all that will follow in due course. The EUR/USD is currently trading at 1.0793
