A mixed opening for European stocks- DAX not has hot as seemed likely earlier

The reported beat on the latest German factory orders was quite impressive and that sent the DAX futures higher earlier. That saw the index priced to reopen around 23,325 at one point. Well, it has just reopened, but it has not been quite such an ebullient start to the day. The FTSE 100 is falling back and so is the CAC 40. The DAX also balked at any push above 23,300 and has since dropped back towards 23,200 in the first few minutes of live trade. Of course that is just the start of the story today and we know just how quickly the vista can change, but right now it is not such an impressive start to the day as was envisaged earlier
