Le Pen found guilty of embezzlement and now faces an electoral ban- no rebound yet for the CAC 40
According to news wire report the leading French politician, Marine Le Pen has been found guilty of miss use of EU funds and now faces an electoral ban for the 2027 Presidential race. It is not yet clear; whether she can appeal that ban, but so far this news has not been greeted positively by the CAC 40. Now, some might think it should be, but to be honest that is not the game in town, with the wider markets very much headed in the opposite direction right now. In fact the CAC 40 has now fallen below the 7,800 handle a moment ago and that comes as the wider European markets face fresh selling pressure in recent trading
