As the US stock markets kick off the final session of the week with some rapid price action and marked sector divergence, the European stock markets are edging lower. The DAX, CAC and FTSE are all off their best levels of the day. The CAC 40 is in focus here right now and that is slipping back towards 7,700. Earlier the index rose to a high at 7,738. The big question here folks- is this the last chance to sell French stocks ahead of what could be a significantly lower opening on Monday, if Le Pen gets here way? That is a tough one really, because if she does not, then the market could open significantly higher and therein lies the conundrum and the choice right now. So, it seems that discretion is getting the better part of valour right now and no matter what is thought here on the potential outcome, the risk is clear to see. That might explain why the CAC 40 is pushing lower right now
