It is another very busy day for S+P 500 earnings reports
Today is the busiest day yet for S+P 500 companies reporting their Q1 earnings. There are 61 S+P companies due to report before and after the closing bell tonight. As well as being Nasdaq 100 components, both Amazon and Apple are also quoted on the S+P 500. Of course they will grab the headlines after the closing bell tonight, but ahead of that we have some pretty big names also reporting outside of the tech sector this morning. The most notable of those are Eli Lilly at 10.45am (EPS expected at $2.95 with revenue of $12.68 billion) GMT and McDonalds, at 11am GMT (EPS expected at $2.65 on revenue of $6.08 billion). Mastercard reports at 12pm GMT (EPS expected at $3.55 on revenue of $7.12 billion) and then later its over to those two Mag 7 players after the closing bell. The S+P 500 is currently priced to reopen at 5,618
