An important note about Quick News updates next week

There will be no Quick News updates from me on Monday January 1. Pretty much all markets will be closed on that day for the New Year holiday. I assume that BTC will still be trading, as it never sleeps, but I will not be covering it here. I would also like to thank all the regular readers of these updates, for their support and readership throughout 2023 and I look forward to more of the same in the New Year. Normal services will of course resume on Tuesday January 2, but I should also add that due to logistics and technical reasons there will be no updates on Friday January 5 either. In the meantime, the dollar has certainly managed to battle back more, as just noted in the previous two updates. I did question much earlier this morning; as to whether all the year-end selling on the dollar had been concluded. Well, the price action so far today would tend to suggest that is has, at least until the 4pm London Fix might have something else to deliver. We shall see on that of course
