As the European stock markets reopen it is a sea of red across the major indexes this morning. Such a scene was pretty much baked in from some while ago today. The further falls in the US equity futures have helped to drive that lower opening too. So, far today there have been a number of major companies reporting Q3 earnings and the impact of those in a general sense has not been positive. Despite some noticeable beats, there have been a number of misses too, but right now it looks like the macro picture is eclipsing any of that. Now, owing to technical issues there will be no updates here after 12pm GMT until later this evening, ahead of and after those important US earnings reports from Apple and Amazon.
