Has the DAX topped out for the time being?- Futures in the red today

As just covered in the previous update, looking at the S+P 500 futures this morning, it was noted that the FTSE 100 and the DAX proceeded that technically negative close in the S+P. The DAX had opened on Friday at a record opening level of 21,463. It had closed on Thursday at 21,411 which was a record daily close. It then pushed to set a new all time high on Friday, at 21,520, before later closing the week, at 21,394, with a loss of 16 points on the day. Prior to that close, an update here noted the possibility that it might set in place a technically negative close. Well, as you can see today, that is exactly what it did and the futures are lower this morning. Of course the reasons for that are also due to the news reported in the previous update, concerning China and Trump. Either way the opening outlook is not positive right now this morning and the DAX is currently priced to reopen around 21,260. There will be more to add on this after the opening and ahead of the latest German IFO report, at 9am GMT.
