Gold trades above $2,900 for the first time ever

Since the last update here on Gold, the metal has advanced further, rising above $2,900 for the first time ever. The high seen a little earlier this morning was set around $2,900.90. That $2,900 could be a tough level to crack, but it really depends on what orders may lie in place up there. It is a big round number for sure and looks like there might have been a few sellers, banking gains just above that price point a moment ago. We shall see how that plays out from now on, but so far the record run shows few signs yet of running out of steam and a few analysts still have $3,000 per once on their note pads. Gold is currently trading at $2,900.65
