Gold takes a hit towards $2,740 as US yields lift
Gold had been holding pretty steady above $2,750 for most of the morning so far, but just now it took a hit lower and the break below the prior session low, at $2,749.67 has delivered a further downside extension towards $2,740. Earlier the US 10 year note was trading around 4.60%. It has now nudged above 4.62% and these days that is often enough to cause a reaction in the markets. Well, the move lower in Gold right now it pretty vertical. If you care to look at the intraday chart you will see that. Gold just hit a session low at $2,741.02. It is right now at $2,742.45
