Gold struggling for traction again

Yesterday the noted push above a technical level at $2,336.66 came to an abrupt halt once again. This time Gold peaked lower that the previous effort. The metal topped out at $2,338.55 and fell back to below $2,320. It did later rebound, to close in the US at $2,331.90. However, since then it has not made it back above $2,335 and right now it is close to session lows (2,322.98). The price action remains sandwiched in between the falling 50 day moving average (now in place at 2,337.67) and the rising 100 day moving average (now in place at $2,261.70) Gold is currently trading at $2,323.60
