Gold reaches highest levels of week as US yields slip

The combination of a lower dollar, especially versus the Yen and a slight slip in US yields this morning have helped to push gold higher this morning. The metal is just now pushing to its best levels of the week, above $2,366. The metal posted a synthetic US close at $2,356.69. The range seen so far today has been covered by $2,354.32 and $2,366.36. The drivers just mentioned for the Gold are likely to remain key as to how far this move higher will extend and potentially match, or surpass previous interim highs at 2,368.75 and 2,387.75. Gold is currently trading at $2,365.90
