Gold pushes to a new record this morning as Mid East tensions flare

Gold continued to forge higher yesterday and set fresh records along the way. The metal closed in the US last night at $2,774.74, which was of course a new record close. Today it has pressed on again and just a few moments ago Gold rose to set a new all time high, at $2,786.76. The move higher comes as US yields back off slightly today and once again we turn to what is the driving force behind the move and that is all about the prospect of US inflation, if Trump wins thew White House. It is also about the situation in the Middle East. Well, a short while ago reports emerged of a potential missile attack on Israel and that is what has prompted this immediate move to fresh records. Gold is currently trading at $2,786.35
