Gold not so ebullient so far today

Earlier today Gold rose to a session high at $2,949.75. That high extended the rebound gains seen into the US close last night. Gold had closed in the US at $2,938.98 after it had dropped to a low at $2,924.23 yesterday afternoon, as noted here at the time. However, the rebound seen earlier today was not sustained and the metal fell back, to almost match the low seen yesterday. Gold hit a session low a little earlier this morning, at $2,924.36. So, as you can see that price point around that $2,924 level looks like a key point of interest again today. The fact that Gold rejected a higher close last night might be telling too. The only question from here on today- has gold peaked for the time being at $2,954.84. That was the record seen yesterday and also noted here at the time. Gold is currently trading at $2,932.55
