Yesterday as the dollar initially fell back and US yields remained subdued, Gold rose above $2,000 per ounce once again. The high seen was set at $2,006.39. However, and once again, the failure to rise above the top of wave 1, at 2,009.41 delivered yet another set back. The rebound above 159.53 in the USD/JPY and US treasury yields dealt the metal another blow and it fell back to 1,986.96 ahead of the US close. It later closed in the US at 1,990.17. It has bounced today though, but it is yet to reclaim that 2k handle. The range seen so far today has been covered by 1,989.57 to 1.998.58. Gold is currently close to session highs, trading at 1,998.38
