Gold lifts to session highs above $2,335

Gold is making some further progress, perhaps buoyed by month-end factors and a potential risk hedge into the weekend? It also comes amid gains in base metals today, most notably copper. Gold closed last night in the US at $2,327.73. The low seen earlier today was set at $2,319.14. The move higher takes it closer to the levels just above $2,336 noted here earlier in the week. That was a Fibonacci correction level, at $2,336.66. If you remember, Gold managed to just vault that level on Tuesday, when it topped out just above $2,337. Gold is currently trading at $2,335.15
