Gold lifts above $2,270 for the first time ever
Since the release of the US data a few minutes ago, Gold has risen to set new records this afternoon. It was already rising above $2,265, when the US stock markets opened lower and now it it has taken out the previous all time high and risen above $2,270 a short while ago. The high seen was set at $2,274.25. It has backed off from there now, but overall this metal remains the subject of strong demand and not just from a noted number of Central Banks either it seems. Gold is currently trading at $2,268.50
