Yesterday Gold rose to set a new all time record high, at $2,164.78. That high was later followed by a fall back to below 2,150, but it later rebounded into the US close, ending that session at $2,159.98. That was a new all time record closing high for the metal. The slide in the USD/JPY had of course started these moves off much earlier in the day and the further falls in the dollar, yields and gains in US stocks ensured gold remains close to that record high by the close last night. The price action so far today has seen it rise from an earlier Asian session low at 2,154,08, to back above 2,160 where it is right now. The high seen earlier today was set at $2,163.65. It is currently trading at $2,160.85
